Delayed update
So while later than expected, other things have gotten in the way, a new patch is released. This is the submission patch for Norwegian Game Awards, which includes minor quality of life changes and 3 new levels. Read on for road-map.
QoL
- You can no longer accidentally jump with one wheel, you only jump when yoinking both wheels, mashers rejoice!
- Wheelies can no longer be performed on sloped terrain.
- Levels "Accessible Platformer" and "A Small Step In Difficulty" has been rebalanced to be better introduction stages.
- Completing the last level take you to the main menu.
- Sound adjustments to give some subtle spatial depths.
New
3 New levels "An Uphill Battle", "Elevating To New Heights" and "A Slippery Slope" has been added. Do note that my save system is slightly primitive in the sense that it doesn't handle version differences well.
Road-map
The 25th will be the final submission date, and I have some plans.
- I will add some temporary place holder textures on surfaces, it will help give a perception of depth and speed.
- I will improve the tutorial further.
- I will add signposting to the early levels. Simple signs illustrating how to solve the levels.
- I will add more levels, but depending on time spent on the rest of my tasks, the amount of levels is uncertain.
After that I'll keep working on the game, and post more devlogs to keep those interested updated.
Stay safe.
- Egil "Vumsy" Johansen
